Booking Policy –

At Benchmark Roofing and Skylights, we do our best to make booking your roofing or skylight work easy and transparent. By making a booking with us, you agree to the following policy.

 

1. How Bookings Are Made

• All bookings are scheduled and managed through ServiceM8.

• Once you accept a quote, we will allocate a date and time window for your job.

• A booking is confirmed only when the required 50% deposit has been paid.

 

2. Deposits

• A deposit is required after quote acceptance to secure your booking.

• This deposit allows us to order materials, allocate labour and reserve your job time.

 

3. Cancellations & Restocking

• If you cancel after paying your deposit and materials have been ordered, a 20% restocking fee applies.

• This fee covers supplier charges and administrative costs.

• If materials have already shipped or are custom-ordered, additional supplier fees may apply - we will advise you if this occurs.

• If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment.

 

4. Call-Out Fees

• No call-out fees apply for quotes, inspections, or standard site visits.

• A call-out fee only applies to service calls intended to repair an existing product (e.g., a leaking skylight or damaged component).

• Any applicable repair call-out fee will be clearly communicated before attending.

 

5. Arrival Windows

 

All appointments are provided with a time window (e.g., 7–9am, 10–12pm).

We always aim to arrive on time, and we’ll keep you updated if delays occur.

 

6. Weather Conditions

 

Roofing and skylight work is weather dependent.

If conditions are unsafe (rain, storms, strong wind), we may need to reschedule your booking.

There is no fee for weather-related rescheduling.

 

7. Access Requirements

 

To make sure your booking runs smoothly, please ensure that:

• We have safe and clear access to the roof and required areas

• Pets are secured

• Someone is available if internal access is needed

 

If we cannot safely access the property, the booking may need to be rescheduled.
